“In February 2013, shortly after my 77th birthday I had the misfortune to slip and partially fall on two steps in my home which resulted in a damaged spine. After several months, of waiting in pain for appointments and scan results, during which I could barely walk with a cane for more than a few minutes, I was told that I needed to see a neurosurgeon, in Hamilton. But there was a 1 Year waiting list, and then, if I needed surgery, there was a further six months wait. This was the last straw for me, (I had been a fit and very active person all my life) so I decided to look for alternative solutions. On my first visit, on 4th July, Dr Egan quickly put me at ease, conducted a very extensive and precise series of tests and asked me health questions related to my injuries. He in fact carried out the most detailed and precise health exam I have ever received from any heath professional. He ordered a series of x-rays of my spine from my neck down to my tail bone and apart from the obvious new injuries, he also Identified long term previous injuries that I didn’t know existed. My first treatment session started exactly one day later. Dr Egan carried out his treatment sessions very precisely and meticulously and his professional expertise is unquestionable, I always felt safe under his care. I started to notice a reduction in my pain in just a few hours after the first treatment. Twenty four hours after my first treatment session, I was surprised and very gratified to receive a phone call personally from Dr Egan to check if I was having any problems. I wasn’t, but I thought this was a very nice touch indeed.. A few short weeks later, Dr Egan had me walking on my own two feet again and I was able to gratefully throw away my cane. My treatment continued with gradually increasing intervals between visits, as my back and legs regained strength after the previous long period of inactivity. I was then able to take my very patient wife on a well earned rest on a 17 day cruise of Hawaii in November, during which I took the opportunity of a very brisk 45 min. walk around the promenade deck every morning! I would not hesitate to strongly recommend Dr.Egan to anyone considering consulting a Chiropractor. He is truly a very talented professional, who genuinely cares about his patients well-being.
